From Chess Tournaments to Bloody Long Walks, it is without doubt part of Trinity’s tradition to participate and host events to support the Mito Foundation.
But do you know why this foundation is deeply close to the hearts of many in our community?
Why we have hosted events for this cause in the past?
Why we get up early each year and walk 35 kilometres in the hope of curing this disease?
We do it for Hugh Blunt, OTG 2018, who sadly passed away from his battle with Mito in 2019. Hugh was an incredibly strong man and he has inspired so many in our community. His humour and courage in the face of unimaginable adversity will never be forgotten.
We do it so others do not have to go through the same hardship our community and Hugh suffered.
We do it to honour the memory of Blunty and help his spirit live on. That’s why we do it.
