My niece Sienna was diagnosed with severe and progressive mitochondrial disease this year, through a maternally inherited gene we now know to be the cause of our famillies little hereditary medical quirks.
As a keen ultrarunner I've lined up multiple events where you can sponsor me to run big disatnces to raise money for the Mito Foundation provides information and support services to connect mito patients and their families to help them feel less alone while funding research to develop meaningful treatments and cures.
